This page describes how to walk to the Quaker Meeting House in Newcastle from Jesmond Metro Station, from the eastbound bus stop on Sandyford Road and from the westbound bus stop on Sandyford Road.

From Jesmond Metro Station

Leave the station and take the steps down to the subway which passes under Jesmond Road. At the far end, turn right to double back on yourself for a few metres then turn left to walk up a ramp terminating at the south side of Jesmond Road. Turn left and then left again in a few metres. The Quaker Meeting House is in front of you.

From the westbound bus stop on Sandyford Road

This is the bus stop for buses heading for the city centre. Ask to be put off at Archbold Terrace. Cross the road (dual carriageway with narrow central reservation) and, once over, turn left. Continue walking to the corner, and turn right into Archbold Terrace. This road is occupied by office blocks, which span over the road in two places. Walk down to the end, crossing one side road and passing under the office block. At the end, turn right and walk under the office block. The Friends Meeting House is now in front of you but to reach the door you must turn left and follow the building round to the right.
